Joan Esculies (Manresa, 1976). Writer and historian. Associate professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). His most recent book, together with David Martínez Fiol, is 1917. El año en que España pudo cambiar (Renacimiento, 2018). He is preparing a biography of the intellectual and politician Ernest Lluch, early appearance. He has published articles and books relatepd to Catalan nationalism and especially with the figure of Josep Tarradellas, of which he is a specialist. He is a regular contributor to the newspaper Ara and El País-Catalunya.
